  • Trainee Project Worker, Liverpool

Full-time; one year; £15,000

The Reader Organisation is looking for a trainee Project Worker, to join our Get into Reading project teams in Liverpool. A key element of this particular job involves working with boys in secondary school, who may be highly disaffected or disengaged, and who are in need of personal encouragement in order to begin to enjoy reading.

This exciting opportunity, which has just arisen, is firmly linked to the start of the new school year.  We can consider only those whose applications reach us by 9.00am on Friday 5th August and who are available for interview on Tuesday 9th August.

  • Project Worker, Kensington and Chelsea (London

Full-time; seven months; £22,000 pro-rata (includes London weighting)

This post will ensure the continued smooth running of the eight weekly reading groups currently established by the library service within the borough, and will set-up, establish and facilitate further weekly Get Into Reading groups as required, to promote reading, well-being and good mental health.  In addition, Project Workers are expected to take an active role and interest in the core business of TRO which includes training others in shared reading techniques, communicating the work of TRO effectively and fundraising.

  • Project Worker, Tower Hamlets (London)

Part-time; one year; £22,000 pro-rata (includes London weighting)

The Tower Hamlets Project Worker is required to set-up, establish and facilitate weekly shared reading groups in order to promote reading, well-being and good mental health within Idea Stores. In addition, Project Workers are expected to take an active role and interest in the core business of TRO which includes training others in shared reading techniques, communicating the work of TRO effectively and fundraising.
