The Reader Organisation is pleased to announce two brand new job opportunities as we take Get Into Reading to North Wales with Big Lottery Wales.
Get Into Reading Project Coordinator North Wales
- Part time, 0.8FTE, four days per week
- 2 year fixed term contract (£19,000 p.a. pro rata)
- Funding Stream: Big Lottery Wales
The role calls for an exceptionally highly-motivated, dedicated person, passionate about the power of books and reading to change lives and able to develop and integrate this new initiative into the TRO portfolio. They will have project management experience, a demonstrable interest in North Wales communities, and experience of the ways in which reading can change lives. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining links with over 40 organisations that the project engages, organising and delivering shared reading training courses and facilitating at least 6 GIR groups per week.
Get Into Reading Project Worker North Wales
- Part time time, 0.6FTE, three days per week
- 2 year fixed term contact (£15,000 p.a. pro rata)
- Funding Stream: Big Lottery Wales
TRO Project workers are required to set-up, establish and facilitate weekly shared reading groups in order to promote reading, well-being and good mental health. In addition, Project Workers are expected to take an active role and interest in the core business of TRO which includes training others in shared reading techniques, communicating the work of TRO effectively and fundraising.
